John Davies is a senior trainer and Director of the Building Performance Center. John’s career in building weatherization began in 1986; since then, he has held positions of energy education coordinator, project coordinator and production manager for low-income weatherization programs in Minnesota and Washington. Shawn Collins is currently the manager of the Community Energy Challenge. He has worked with the Opportunity Council, the non-profit Community Action agency parent of the BPC, for the past six years in a number of capacities including program design and implementation, grant writing, and management. Shawn has worked for a variety of non-profit organizations for the past ten years, addressing issues such as wilderness conservation, hunger, access to technology, and energy efficiency.

Sam is an affiliate trainer with the Community Action Council of Lewis, Mason, and Thurston Counties (CAC LMT) in Lacey, WA. He currently serves as Weatherization Coordinator. (more)

Robyn has been with the OC since 2009. With a degree in Administrative Assistance, Robyn contributes strong organizational, research and computer skills to the BPC. Robyn is responsible for registration coordination, workshop logistics and information sharing among BPC training participants.

Jon’s weatherization and housing rehabilitation career began in 1992; his focus is low-income weatherization program development and lead-based paint hazards.
Jon is a certified lead risk assessor and trainer for the EPA’s lead safe renovator rule; he currently assesses lead hazards, and develops safe and efficient lead mitigation work plans. (more…)

Warren began his career in building development, and then joined the OC’s weatherization program, advancing from Technician, to Crew Lead, to Project Coordinator. He is a BPC Associate Trainer, as well as the Community Energy Challenge Quality Assurance and Control Inspector. (more…)

Don is an affiliate trainer with the Community Action Council of Lewis, Mason, and Thurston Counties (CAC LMT) in Lacey, WA. He currently serves as Project Manager for the training center, as well as a senior building analyst/auditor and inspector. (more)

Paul seamlessly transitioned from software developer to weatherization technician in 2003. In addition to serving as trainer for the BPC’s DOE-approved energy auditing software, he maintains the BPC website. Paul also trains energy conservation educators.(more…)

Mike is an affiliate trainer with the Spokane Neighborhood Action Partners (SNAP) in Spokane, WA. His background in building and weatherization trades began over 20 years ago, and he is now the senior trainer for lead, combustion safety and diagnostic training. (more…)
