
Collaborating for Fiscal Compliance: Fiscal & Program Managers Training
On March 27, 28 & 29 program managers and fiscal managers will be gathering at the Building Performance Center for a 2.5 day workshop entitled “Collaborating For Fiscal Compliance: Fiscal & Program Managers Workshop.” We’re excited to be hosting this workshop with the Washington State Department of Commerce. The purpose of the workshop is too engage participants in learning best practices and strategies for the Fiscal and Program aspects of weatherization contract management. It’s the intent of the workshop to foster an understanding of the importance of close coordination between agency Fiscal and Program management by building an understanding of the unique needs of each function in the management of contracts.
Additionally, through collaboration, we want show how an agency can achieve efficiency in administrative functions, while reducing system redundancy in contract information tracking and achieve these goals in compliance with rules and regulations. We’ll cover requirements specific to weatherization contracts and the rules and regulations governing weatherization contracts. We’ll explore ways to achieve those requirements and hear examples of systems other agencies have devised to achieve the requirements (databases, accounting systems etc). Finally, we’ll cover the monitoring process and best ways to prepare for monitoring.
